Seen any good movies lately?

I have been home 2 days now and today I did not know what to do with myself! I have been so bored! At one point, my 4 year old spilled chocolate milk all over the counter that dripped down the cupboards and onto the floor. I cleaned it up(hubby was not happy!). Wow! I couldn't believe how much pain I felt just from that! It involved bending over and wiping up the floor. Yes, I shouldn't have done it, but I thought it was harmless. Anyway, I promised hubby that I would stay in bed for the rest of the day and not get into anymore trouble. So I put a movie in the vcr that I had never seen before....Stepmom with Julia Roberts and Susan Serandan(sp?) was really good! Have any of you watched any good movies during your recovery? What were they? I'd like some good ideas....I have a few weeks of boredom ahead of me and I have a feeling watching movies will be one of my main boredom busters

Seen any good movies lately?

Hi Pas,

I've been watching Turner Classic Movies alot lately; have seen The Great Gadsby, Magnificent Obsession and also get movies from Netflix --- just saw A Beautiful Mind last night --- it was WONDERFUL! Currnetly have Being John Malcovitch, The Big Country and Rules of Engagement with Monster's Ball on order.

Netflix is cool because the movies come to your mailbox and you send them back after you finish (no late fees) --- Have your DH check out (don't sit at the computer for very long right now)...

Seen any good movies lately?

Hi there!

This boredom thing is getting around! Have you seen the many threads going on lately on this same topic/dilemma? We've got princesses overdoing it all over the place!

Bless your heart, I know how hard it is to keep still and behave during this time, especially when you start feeling 'human' again.

Okay, about the movies.... it might be a bit early to rent anything that will make you laugh... the tummy has a tough time with laughing.

I ended up renting all the chick-flicks that I don't want to subject my DH to but really want to see. This is an obscure movie but one of my absolute favorites: _Chantilly Lace_ - it's about a group of women who have been friends forever, now live in different parts of the country, and get together at certain times of the year just to be together and hang out... and instead of a script, it's ad-libbed. JoBeth Williams is in it. If you can find it, I highly recommend it. <sidebar: have a box of tissues handy>

There! You can spend a good while just tracking the movie down! If you watch it, you'll have to let me know what you thought.

Anyway, take care, sweetie - hang in there and be a good Princess!

Seen any good movies lately?

A Richard Gere movie I haven't seen!!!! I am off to the video store!!!

Autumn in New York was also good. Sad ending though. The Runaway Bride. My Best Friends Wedding. I saw an ad for Along Came a Spider yesterday. If it is out on video it is great! Pearl Harbor. Men Of Honor, are also both really good.

Seen any good movies lately?

Movies saved me from boredom many times during the past month. Mostly cable movies, but my friend brought over our favorite "chick flick", Steel Magnolias, and we laughed ourselves silly. Also really enjoyed my old favorite, Moonstruck. Turner Classic Movies is a great cable channel for wonderful old movies.
