Decision Day--Moving (waaahhhh)

Yesterday I couldn't--today I just knew it was time, picked up the phone, called the assisted living place (I have other medical problems beyond recurrence, one of which is showing up more on each CT scan and scares me more than ovarian, since it could just really crash things fast) and the mover and the realtor... Going at end of month. Will have a nice (little) apartment but someone there to call (which will be nice in case the carbo or something else does a number on me) for help, a kitchenette, good balanced meals, and whatever. With joint and nerve problems too, this makes it easier--no stairs, can get cleaning/laundry help and other assistance added as needed, no outside to think about. So I have a very busy month ahead. I've cleaned out a lot (our local St. Vincent de Paul and a Lutheran Church that has a resale shoppe know me on sight) and have more to go... Wish me luck. This is right (my doctor said at my last appt. that it's the best for me--I have no one to help out if things go down--I mean, no one period) but hard.

s Ellen

What a strong, empowering, courageous, independent woman you are!!!!
In the short time I have known you, you have won all my respect and admiration. I know this must be very difficult for you. I wish I lived close to you so that I could be of physical help. And I know you would be great company. But I promise I will always be here to offer any emotional help or just the sharing of ideas. Sounds trite, but I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

(((Ellen)))
I would like to second Karens sentiments!!! You are indeed a very strong and courageous woman, and I am sure this decision was very difficult. You are taking control of the situation, and making your own decisions and I hope that if I am faced with these circumstances at some point that I would be as strong as you are!!
You remain in my daily prayers dear lady!!!
Love and huge hugs,
M. xoxoxo

Decision Day--Moving (waaahhhh)

First, my hat is off to you...moving is such a difficult time, but to do this all on your own is really remarkable. I cannot imagine how difficult this is for you, and you are a strong woman to recognize that where you are moving to may be a wise choice should you need help from others in the future.

Wish I was able to give you a big in person, but this one will have to do. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers and am sending you wishes of comfort and healing.
