Has Hyster Sisters Helped You? Here's a Chance for You to Help Hyster Sisters!!!

If you're like me, I would have never gotten through the difficult days before my surgery in May without Hyster Sisters. I spent most of my free time (and some that I was supposed to be working!) at this site, gaining valuable information and support, and as a result, went to the castle and through recovery much more prepared and encouraged than I would have been on my own. And I'm sure that I'm not the only lady to feel this way!

If you'd like to show your support for this wonderful "home-away-from-home," "keep-me-sane-until-surgery," and "keep-me-entertained-and-healthy-while-I-recover" website, then here's your chance.

Hyster Sisters is currently holding a semi-annual fundraiser! For a very small contribution, you can become a Crown Jewel, with all of the privileges that go with the crown (free merchandise, access to the recipe board, a crown and an avatar that display under your user name next to your posts, and most of all, the joy of knowing you're a part of the best hysterectomy support site on the web, just to name a few.)

Just think, for a small donation of just $25, $50, or $100 or a recurring $5-a-month donation, you can give back some of the wonderful support you have received here at Hyster Sisters and help keep this website free for everyone!

And, if you are already a Crown Jewel, you can upgrade now to a higher level and/or purchase a crown jewel for that special Hyster Buddy!

To find out more, click this link: Hyster Sister Fundraiser

s to all!

Lisa

PS: I'd also like to challenge the Post-Op board to a friendly contest!

The Pre-Op Ladies-in-Waiting can out donate you!!!

Come on, girls, let's see how many jewels we can accumulate in our crowns and beat the Post-Op Punctured Princesses in donations!

Has Hyster Sisters Helped You? Now You Can Help Hyster Sisters! UPDATE!!!!

My answer to your question is YES!!!

I was blindsided with my routine annual well-woman exam resulting in a mad dash to OR for my hysterectomy.

I did not know the first thing about my condition or hysterectomy!

I came here and read the message boards as well as the Pull-Down menu stories and the Stories board. The women here were generous enough and gracious enough to share their stories and to share their experience, which saved me from complete meltdown!

Thanks to Hystersisters, I was armed with information, I got an idea of what to expect, I knew what questions to ask, and I knew how to take care of myself during recovery.

Valuable? I can't begin to tell you how much! I my Hystersisters!! I am delighted to be given the opportunity to give back to the site my small fraction of what the site has given me.

Ah, the Gauntlet Has Been Picked Up, the Challenge Accepted!!!

Okay, Ladies in Waiting, here's the deal.....

When you subscribe to the Crown Jewels, rush back here as soon as you get your crown (you'll see it above your user name on your posts), and post on this thread, letting us know that you are now a Crown Jewel. This way we can keep track of how many we have. (Depending on how you pay, it may take a few days to activate your status.)

If you're a Punctured Princess, go to this link to post your Crown Jewel status post: Punctured Princess Crown Jewel Challenge

Now don't cheat, if you're already a Crown Jewel, you'll have to upgrade before you post here. (And we have ways of knowing what your status is. Actually, your name will show up in the donations section of the main message board homepage at this link: Main Message Board Homepage

When the fundraiser ends, we'll see who has the most Crown Jewels - the Ladies in Waiting or the Punctured Princesses!

Okay, what are you waiting for.... go get your jewel!!

Oh, by the way, the Ladies in Waiting are going to win!!!

Upgraded

Okay, I know I'm a Punctured , but I'm a hostess on this board, and I issued the challenge, so I'm going to post over here with MY ladies!!

I upgraded my crown jewel to Ruby AND purchased a Crown Jewel as a "thank you" for my Hyster Buddy who helped keep me sane while we waited for our surgeries (we went on the same day.)

(Come on girls, we're ahead by two already!)

Count me in!!!

This site has been a life saver to me these past few weeks. I intend to return to it after Iam a punctured princess...so I am now a proud owner of a beautiful ruby crown. The best part of my crown is that ruby is my birthstone!

Sorry I forgot to put pre-op board in my comments section...but this does count for us ladies in waiting right?

Hugs to all...let's keep this wonderful site going strong!!

Count Mine, Too

I'm also a punctured , but like Lisa, since I'm a hostess on this board, I'm going to ask for mine to count here. I upgraded from Crown Jewel to Crown Jewel Ruby.

Lisa, what's the count now?

Looks like a tie!

Right now the and the are running neck to neck - at four jewels each!!! (The LIW will have five when Allison gets hers!) We're off to a good start!!

We need 100 Crown Jewels total, right now there's been 16 subscribe, so we only need 84 more!

Way to go, Ladies in Waiting!! Keep up the good work!
