How Did You Choose Your User Name?

I was about 3 weeks post op when I found this site. I wasn't very creative the day I found it. I live in Maine so used the name Mainer. I was going to use the word Mainiac but I didn't want to scare people away! I didn't want this word confused with Maniac!!

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

When I think back I found the hyster sisiter site by accident going through the net trying to find out info on a hysterectomy. I had just been diagnosed and gone through treatment for supeficial bladder cancer and it was thought that I needed the hyst due to more cancer. I was not in a great state of mind and when I had to pick a user name I was not creative. My user name is one that I have for work to access certain material. I needed something at the time that I could remember to get back into hystersisters once I found the site I didn't want to loose it.

Oh well it worked and I was able to get the great support I needed especially since it was cancer again. And continue to get wonderful support.
Thanks to all of you

My first name is Kim and my last name starts with an M. Pretty original! I've tried to use the same name for other sites (non hyst related) and most times the name is already taken. I guess as I've been around so long I got the first pick here.

My user name is also my Clown name. I chose Snickey because my favorite candy bar is Snickers. The nuts in the candy goes with my Clown character very well.

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

I was blessed with the name "Dingaling" when I was a toddler. I would play hide and seek and one day when my Dad came home from work he said "where's that Dingaling!", it stuck ever since! as I grew older he dropped the nickname but my Sisters and Brothers still call me "Ding" . My father passed away last year so every time I log on it's a reminder of him and the "good days"

AND YES.... with a nick name like that I am the Family Clown

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

When I first returned to Florida I was tired and weak from long time abuse. I has hurt and broken. My friend took me in and helped me cry and heal and become strong again. She was like a mama bird vull of love and caring and all the things a mama does. She sorta became a mama bird watching over me. Now I had 2 mamas. Isn't it lucky? So I became a little bird growing and changing. I was born in 65. I use the name on other emails and IM too.
