I love the rain!

I like all kinds of rain actually, from gentle mists to booming thunderstorms. The thunderstorms are my fav...but GentleMyst seemed much more approachable than RagingDeluge. Don't ya think!

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

When I was a freshman during my first attempt at college (I took a temporary sabbatical that lasted until I was 36) one of my roommates nicknamed me “M’ for the first letter of my first name. Since my last name also started with an M, another roomie started calling me “M squared”…

My name is also my vanity plate on my vehicle. It's a combo of first and last name and the 2, is because DH is dway1. One of my co-workers started this a couple years ago and it's stuck.

After sinus surgery, this co-worker called me to ask 'How's the breezeway, dway?"

"ti" is the symbol for "titanium". I have a titanium bicycle, and when I am not riding it, I am often thinking about riding it.

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

I guess I'm one of those obvious ones: I live in Southern California and my name is...Pam! "Surfer Babe" would be my first choice, but at 40 I'm a little past my "babe" prime, unfortunately.

However, my 10-year-old son came in the bathroom this morning while I was brushing my teeth and asked, "Why do models and actresses have to be so skinny? They don't look good. They should be fatter, like you."

Uh, thanks, I think.

He quickly corrected himself and said, "Not FAT, but you know, beautiful."

I'm going to live with this boy in my old age.
