How Did You Choose Your User Name?

My real name is April Dawn. My mother loves foreign languages. She says April Dawn in Russian sounds like Apple Donut, so that's what she always called me when I was growing up.

Finally Ready

Someone in the post op forum asked if my name meant that I'm finally ready for surgery or for the libido fairy to come!!!

I was finally ready for surgery...It took me a long time to make up my mind between surgery and a uterine fibroid embolization...

Now that surgery is behind me, my user name has lost its significance...

Now you can think of it as Finally Ready to begin your new life! You're going to love not having those bleeding problems ever again.

My user name works like this: April is for the month of my surgery and Dawn is for the beginning of a new life, which is what my surgery was for me.

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

Well, my story isn't anywhere near as interesting as the others.

arnoldbk is my email address "[email protected]

I needed something I could remember so I use the same screen name regardless of the site I'm on. I found that the screen name I like "Peachie" (which is my true nickname) is taken on most sites. arnoldbk is not common and I can use it anywhere.

Mine stands for first letter of my husband nickname and my name. The numbers stand for the month and day we were married.

BEEWEE
My given name is Lynn Marie (and a pox on the sister earlier who doesn't like the name Lynn - jk) As a small child I couldn't quite get my mouth around it and called myself Lynn Beewee. Many years later my brother in law started calling my beewee, now it (or some form of it!) is my screen name

Diadema is the name of an ancestor who was a "healer." At one point, she was almost run out of town because of her skill/talents/healing. I've always found the name to be fascinating and have used it in several online RPG's (role playing games).

I love native american history and have some Iroquis in my family. I also have a feather tattooed on the back of my hand attached to a beaded bracelet around my wrist. I just turned 40.......so 40feathers kinda fit.

Ok...better late than not at all. I love butterflies. As I was turning 40, I did a lot of self-growth and kept saying how I feel like a butterfly coming out of it's cocoon ( pretty corny, I know). Last April I had one tattooed on my calf. Anyway, when my kids were little, we used to call them flutterbies, so I just couldn't resist the combo, flutterby wings.
