How Did You Choose Your User Name?

Sand is the first part of our last name. I used to sing the Sandman song to my husband, always liked it as a kid. So I became sandwoman to distinguish my online stuff from his. It kinda fit too with my profession as a Respiratory Therapist, as so much of our work has diverted to sleep medicine.

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

My Mom used to love to look for the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, at their family cottage up north. She used to stand out on the dock at night with my children, to see if she could see them.
She and my father passed away in 1999, and I miss them very much. I chose the name Aurora, because it reminds me of my Mom.

my name

Hi Ladies,
Like Bizet Woman, my first name is Carmen. My sisters' boss, who is also a family friend frequently referred to me as carmypooh. In other online settings I also use the name purpledents. I wanted purpleteeth, but that was taken (for some odd reason). So, I settled for dents, which is French for teeth (les dents). In an attempt to relieve apthous ulcers (canker sores), I followed the advice of a doctor, and used a product called gentian violet. This stained my teeth purple, and I had to have a professional stain removal done at my dentist's office. I laugh about it today, and have been called Barney as a result!
Best wishes!

Meaning Behind User Names

Hi,

When I was trying to think of a user name that I liked, I thought of Starfire and liked the imagery - Star - light, fire - warmth, heat, passion, all of those things.

Best wishes,

Nana

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

I came up with my username because I used the first intial of my name which is Karen. My dh husband affectionately calls me KK as a nick name and the year we were married was in 1983. So...kk83.

I should add that the reason I have a moon chime necklace is because I love the moon so much. I also love chimes of any kind. I even have windchimes inside my house. Some are on doorknobs and some hang from the ceiling. That way when the air vents blow, or a door is opened or closed, the chimes can move and make their magical sound.

Moonchime,

I can identify with you when it comes to loving the moon. That was one of the reasons I named my male cat "Moonlight". I have moon imagery scattered throughout my house. My earliest memory is of the austornaughts landing on the moon back in '63. I used to love the fact that a woman's cycle was compared to the phases of the moon. I miss that almost more than anything.
