How Did You Choose Your User Name?

I just joined this site two days ago at 2am since I couldn't sleep. When asked for a username, I realized my dog was curled up at my feet under the computer desk. He has been my main companion during the day when no one is home. He follows me around - to the bathroom (sits right by the toilet while I do my business), to the bedroom (sleeps at the foot of the bed), to the basement (always at my heels). I guess he senses my condition and is just checking that I'm OK all the time. Hence I thought of him when I needed to come up with a username. He is a Schipperke ("Skippy" for short). I figured I owed him this honour because of his devotion to me. I only wish I could hold him (he's 17 lbs - just over my limit). Oh well, soon....

My name was easy for me to pick.

Faith: For me faith comes into every part of my life. It makes everything alot easier.

Hope: Once you have the faith it's easier to have hope. I believe you have to have faith first.

So there you have it "Faithnhope"

Mine I got from friends. I absolutely love disco. I was pretty young during the disco years but I had a sister and cousins that were much older than me and they always listened to it. My parents were big disco fans too! I listen to disco whenever I have the chance. The music is too upbeat to keep me from getting depressed over anything!

Mine is the result of a typo and a nickname.

When trying to decide what name to use, I tried all the obvious ones, but they were all taken. So I tried to think of somethink more personal and unique.

Years ago, my dh and I used to take a float in parades around the province. I borrowed a costume from a local company and would dance on the float while my dh drove the parade route. It was a big six foot tall bunny named Ester.

When putting in my name, I showed Ester 6" tall, instead of Ester 6' tall. In real life, I am 5' 3" on a good day. My dh still calls me Ester to this day.

((klb5373))

I understand totally about the spelling of "Lynne". I'm thinking it might have something to do with the era of my birth (1949) as quite a few "Lynnes" were born then. Most people I meet these days spell theirs without the 'e' on the end. I find I'm always looking at people's nametags in supermarkets and the like to check their spelling and I always speak to anyone with the same spelling as mine.

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

My husband's nickname is Shorty and when he has friends over, I am usually referred to as "shortyswife". Not many of them know my real name.

P. S. When I was being discharged from the castle, my Dr. asked me who Shorty was. Apparently I was asking for him in recovery, although I don't remember this!
