How Did You Choose Your User Name?

My family and I won a trip to Disneyland from Coca-Cola right before I hit the HS boards.

We won from one of the "Look Under the Cap" promotions. Everyone we told said the same thing. "Nobody I know has ever won anything like that. You must be really lucky."

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

My maiden name is Bliss, and I use that as my middle name now, and it is the basis for my email address. I like to think of the phrase "follow your bliss" rather than "ignorance is bliss." unless the later is more "helpful" in a given situation!

Had I had a daughter, I would have liked to use "Blyss" as a middle name. Instead, the boys follow name traditions from the paternal side for middle names.

Someday "bliss" or "blissful" will be part of the name of a business I want to start.

all for now

I posted the origin of my username on the daily thread because I slipped in when I was supposed to be working - and you don't need to see it twice!

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

Mine is too obvious for words.

Interesting to read everyone's though! I always have my own guesses as to how they came about, and it's fun to see if they match with the real story.

Bliss - I just figured you must be especially cheerful!

Lucky - Gosh, you are! What a neat story.

Desk - I gotta go read yours, 'cause I don't even have a guess...

Xena - A superhero in our midst!

good stories!

Mine is because I used to work with someone who had 3 boys and got a personalized plate that said "awboys" - I have 3 daughters so I stole her idea and use "awgirls" - aw being shortened for "all"

that's classified information!!!

well I could explain my username, Let's just say it's a play on Suzy-Q.

How it came to be could be offensive to some, so I won't go into that.

It's been shortened to BSQ because one of my dearest friends (on chat and in real life) got tired of typing out BobbySue. (and it's shorter than my real name).

How Did You Choose Your User Name?

I think I've got you all beat for boring stories -
my user name is "Tamara" because that's my name! I joined the boards back in the stone ages when there was only one board for everything - this site has grown so much, it boggles my mind!

I came back to the boards occasionally to check in on some sisters and discovered the BEST board - exactly what I needed at the time!

My chat name is violettattoo5 - My grandmother's name was Violet and violet's are sort of my "thing" - I have a violet tattooed on the small of my back and I also have a small turtle tattoo - another one of my "things." Okay, there's more information than you ever wanted to know! Oh, wait 5 is also my lucky number!

UG! I am so unoriginal!!

Yes, it's my name...with my last initial attached. I use it for everything because, not only am I NOT original - but I could never remember what name I use for what!

I love these stories! Luckysister...you are my hero!!

As always, kathyh

I love this, great idea.

I have Newfie because I am one. I was born and raised in Newfoundland Canada. And Newfie is just short for Newfoundland. I also love Newfie dogs but they are so large could not possibly have one in my house.
