Re: Whats the story on your user id?

I have had the nickname bacoms for about 16 years now, it came from a skit I was in my 7th grade year. I played a pig who was butchered and came back as a ghost in grocery store meat department. A little girl had to help me collect all of my "parts" before people bought them so I would be allowed into hog heaven... We even wrote a song that the little girl sang to me... "Oh you can't get to heaven without all your parts 'cause the Lord doesn't want em in shopping carts!"

And needless to say, the pig's name was "Bacoms" - not to be confused with bacon! LOL

Re: Whats the story on your user id?

I grew up rodeoing and then I got married to a bull rider. I had 3 little dear children so it's alot harder for me to rodeo and plus it's easier to just throw a gear bag in the back of the suburban than to get all the horses and gear ready to pull a trailer. Once my husband stops riding then I'm going to get back in it. We're just a rodeoing family!!

Re: Whats the story on your user id?

Oh I love this thread even though it looks like its been a bit quiet for a while...so I hope others pick it up too.

My username is Ripple because that's the name of the chocolate bar I was eating when I registered (Cadbury's Ripple - I don't think you can get them in the USA but they're yummy!).

My kids all have nicknames too, because when I was a little girl the girl next door was always called 'Pickle' by her dad and I was so jealous! I wanted my dad to call me Pickle! But he didn't. Anyway, I always knew my kids would have nicknames.

My DD Leanna, age 11, is called Mopsy (or Mops for short) by me only although we also call her Lulu (extended family/friends).

My DS Daniel, age 9, is called Tiggs, as when he was little he used to sit and bounce up and down, like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh stories.

My DS Oscar, age 4, is called Mooey (or Moo) bacause when he was a tiny baby he made a funny squeaking sound so the children called him 'Oscar Mouse', which became Mouse which somehow became Moo. he has a yellow blanket which he holds the ribbon and sucks his thumb and the blanket is called Mooey as well!

Re: Whats the story on your user id?

My name doesn't mean anything, really. Just one of those grasping at straws things, trying to make up something mildly original in a hurry. After I thought it up, it seemed to fit, because my bday is in May, my husband's is in June, and we were married in July. Those are also some very nice months around where I live, though July is pushing it a little with the heat.

Re: Whats the story on your user id?

I started drafting school so when I got my first e-mail account, I wanted to be [email protected] That was already taken, so the first available number was drafter29. I now have my own drafting service & use that for everything to keep it simple.
