4 weeks post op today and doing great!

Well, ladies... I'm 4 weeks post op today! I'm feeling really good.... still sore and still hurt a little if I do too much, but overall, I feel good.

My tummy (even with the swelling) is way flatter than it was before. I've also lost about 7 or 8 pounds which I'm pleased with and it's not because I haven't been eating!! The doc did a little mini-tuck and with that and my uterus being gone, I can definately tell. When I overdo it, it does pooch back out some but nothing like before.

My incision looks great. My neighbor wanted to see it yesterday so I tried to show it to her and she kept saying, "Well, where's it at?" Finally, I had to draw an imaginary line across where my incision is so she could see and she made it out. It's much longer than my c-section scar was. I thought it would be the same and he would just go in the same route, but he cut me a little longer. Of course, it's a bikini cut though.... you can't see it.

I do tire faster than pre-op and that's to be expected. And some days I'm kind of tired all day but for the most part, I feel great! The first 2 weeks (esp. that first one) were the worst.

I just wanted to let you all know.... especially you ladies in waiting.... it isn't that bad and in retrospect, it's one of the best things I've done for myself.
