I really don't mean to be gross

Hi there, I just happened upon your post and wanted to let you know that I had the same thing happening with me before I had my gall bladder taken out, it was usually after I had an attack, the doctor told me it was a normal side effect of a gall bladder that wasn't working quite right, but that sometimes just something we eat can cause our gall bladders to over react and dump more stuff into our bowels than we really need causing a mucus looking discharge with a bowel movement.
This of course is just what my doctor said and my experience, if you are concerned then give your doc a ring and let him know.

BTW, I haven't had anything like it since having my gall bladder removed.
Take Care,

I used to have that happen to me quite regularly. Cant remember how long its been but its been a few years. I had my gallbladder out in May of 96 - dont know if theres a connection or not. who knows?
If you are concerned then it might be a good idea to give your dr. a call.
Take care

Yup! Had Gallbladder out 26 years ago. I still get the white mucous when I eat any dairy product other than yogurt, caused from being lactose intolarent.
Some times greasy foods will show up as white mucous also. I guess from the gallbladder working overtime.
Have a good day.

Hi Jazitones

I have IBS and I have that white stuff when I have a rough time with it. I had my gallbladder out 19 years ago so don't know if that had it happen less or not. Anyway could be a lot of different things. If you would feel better call the DR. God Bless.
