Discharge

Hi,
I am almost 8 weeks post-op. At my 6 weeks checkup, Dr. said no sex, or heavy duty exercise. She gave me antibiotics because I had a discharge. I started itching a burning, so I used monistat cream for a while. That finally stopped, but now I have yellow-beige discharge. When is this going to stop? Kelly

I'm sorry you are dealing with this still. Sounds like it would be a good idea to call your dr. & let her know whats going on. It doesnt sound quite right to me. But then, I havent had any discharge of any kind since my TVH so I really dont have any experience with it. Hopefully some of the others will be along soon with some insight.
Take care

Susan

Discharge

((((Kellyrose)))))) Sounds like you've been having a rough time since your Hyst. I'm so sorry

I know that I had discharge for 11 weeks after my TVH, but I did have a bit of granulation and a lot of repair. My doctor was aware of it but thought it was normal, in my case.

Since you've already been prescribed antibiotics because of discharge, I would call the doctor. She might want to address this new discharge by having you come in.

Sending lots of healing s your way.

Thank you so much for your responses. One thing that I found that has helped with the discharge and itching is betadine douches. It kills bacteria and yeast. I hope that I will continue to heal. Thank you again, Kelly
