Immune system

I decided to stay home today after feeling a bit yucky at work yesterday afternoon (in fact, I left work on time for a change).
There are a few people at work walking around with a nasty cold.
and call it paranoia or whatever, but I can not afford to get sick and postpone my surgery (which is a week from today).

So far, I have increased my daily intake of Vitamin C, but does anyone else have any tips on boosting one's immune system. The stress from the waiting is enough to bring it down as it is....help!!!

There is a cold medicine called Zy-cam (i think!) that is supposed to shorten the length of a cold. Don't know if it works or not. I have some, but have never used. I also take Vit. E as well as C to help me stay healthy. HOpe it works! Would hate to have to rescedule for a cold!!

Hope it is just allergies!!
