I've been posting about my trip through the jungle and appreciate the support everyone's offered. I am supposed to talk to my dr. this week if I'm still having problems. Well, my symptoms of uncontrollable crying have subsided, and I'm only having a warm flash or two every few days. I seem to be sleeping well so I feel I'm going in the right direction. I take 2mg of estrace split am & pm, b vitamins, epo, calcium and magnesium.

Here's my puzzle: Every morning I am waking up with a headache - either a migraine (milder than pre-op, thank heavens) or a claw like pain in the middle of my forehead. I also have brain fog and a general "black cloud" feeling. These symptoms last about 4-6 hours and gradually subside. I usually take either motrin or aleve for my headache and it doesn't really come back until the next morning. I went a few days without any pain meds to make sure they weren't re-bound headaches, they would still go away by afternoon and come back the next am. My only other symptom is water retention - breasts, hands and feet.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what might be going on?? I would like to be armed with info when I talk to the dr. (He's a good listener!)

Thanks for your help!

Hi lanaye

Have you seen this chart of symptoms of too much or too little estrogen or progesterone?

It shows headaches as a possible symptom of too little estrogen or too little progesterone. Given that you're also having water retention (classic too much estrogen), my money's on the progesterone, but since you're going to the DR anyway, why don't you get your levels checked so you can know for sure? It might cut down on the trial and error time.

Good luck this week, and let us know what the DR says!
