Lupron wk2

Well, I finished my 2nd week of lupron treatment. And so far... few effects--a bit of break thru bleeding, a few cramps, and a growing desire to watch Murder, She Wrote. I'm due my period anytime, and feel like it. I'm hoping maybe I won't get it tho.... And I'm hoping that now that the first few weeks are past, I might get some shrinkage of the fibroids.

I was originally scheduled to get a hys sometime in Oct. But now the dh has to go "out of country" for four months, so I get to stay on lupron for a full six months. Maybe by then the fibroids will have shrunk enough for a vaginal. As before, I'd like to hear from women with decent results from lupron.

Good luck to everyone out there!

I too am in my second week of taking Lupron. Haven't really noticed any side effects yet - am still a ways from when I should be getting my period. Hopefully the symptoms will stay away even then, though from what I have read here they often don't show up until into the second month. I am taking the shots one month at a time, just to be on the safe side! Don't want to get into a situation where I have to grin and bear it for 3 months! (and hope my family will still be there when it is all over!). I am trying this for what seems like the same reasons as you - large fibroid and endo. Want to try to do a vaginal hyst. so I can be down for a few weeks less when the time comes - dr. wants to try this for 6 months. Would love to hear from you as we both give this a try. Please feel free to email me directly at [email protected] if you want to compare symptoms!! Good luck with everything. Sorry to hear that your DH has to be gone for so long. Mine travels a lot too and it's not easy!
