ovarian cysts

Hello,

This website has been a God-send to me over the past few years.
I was first diagnosed with CIN2 (cervical dyslasia) in 1999...then have had three surgeries over the past three years to fight the dysplasia. During my hysterectomy in March 02, my gyn/oncologist found a cyst on my left ovary. I had told him I sometimes have cysts on my ovaries and breasts and he had seen them on my cervix and left my ovaries as I had requested.

I have had cysts on both ovaries that have come and gone since March, but this cyst did not go away. My CA125 test last month came back at 124 and...even though an ultrasound shows my cyst to be fluid filled, we are concerned that it could be malignant.

I go back for another ultrasound and ca125 test on September 16.

Please share any of your experiences like this with me. I am concerned.

Thanks

s Linda

I did receive your email and will respond in more detail shortly. I'm glad you are being followed by a gyn onc still. If I were you, knowing what I know now, and things remain unchanged come mid September, my advice would be to get that ovary removed. Unfortunately with ovarian cancer the only accurate diagnosis comes from the biopsy. Sometimes dense areas are found within the fluid filled area. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi, Linda!

I wish I could add any insight here for you, but I haven't had the experience. Thought that you might like another , though. Please keep us posted on what's happening, and we'll keep you in our 'ers.
