Could my hormone patch be increasing my pelvic pain??

Hi Ladies,
I have noticed over the last month or so (doing my own little experment) that when I wear my hormone patch it seems that my pelvic pain increases as do my bowel troubles. I have been keeping track of when I am wearing my patch and then I will go without it for a few days and noticed that after about the 2nd day without it that my pelvic pain will be less severe, mind you it is still there but it dropped down to a dull roar without the patch, after about the 2nd day of wearing it again my pain will increase and my bowels will start giving me fits again. I don't understand why my hormone repacement seems to be making my pain worse, what woud cause that to happen? If it continues to prove to me that this patch is what is increasing my pain then I may go off hrt for good and see if that helps, I am basically using the hormones to keep the hot flashes and mood swings away.
Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Carmel

Carmel:

's

I havent had this happen or heard of it before. You might want to give your dr. a call & see what he says about it.
I use the Vivelle dot & have forgot to change it a couple of times but didnt notice any decrease in my pelvic pain. Hopefully there are some others who might have some input on this for you.
I hope you find some answers soon - keep us posted

yes

Sounds like endo. My endo came back and attacked my bladder and my colon. I quit using my Climara patch and the pain went away. I am now HRT free. I have remarkably few symptoms. I did have to start using Vagifem for vaginal dryness.

to Carmel--My soapbox is MILK OF MAGNESIA/wonderdrug

I wish someone had told me 40 years ago ( I am 57) that it is okay to take Milk of Magnesia on a regular basis. I was so constipated for years. Now I take it every night. There is a right amount for everyone. Experiment with it. You will get so much relief.

Imalith, how long did it take for your endo to come back. I'm thinking it is happening to me and am seriously considering going off hrt. On that note, how long is it usually if it does come back? Thanks, Judymk
