Two Weeks And Counting

Just wanted to post to say 9-10-02 will soon be here. Feeling a little edgy, but will be glad when its over and done. Anyone that has a surgery date near, I would love to read a post from you. Sometimes it helps to share with someone that knows exactly what's going on inside. Soon I'll be off to the castle!

Sparklingwater,

I am right behind you sister, I go 9/11. I also understand edgy really well

I knew about the hyst at the 99 day mark and did awful for the first 10 days and then was fine again until I realized there were 2 weeks to go and I lost it again. Many of the sisters have told me that this is normal and they felt the same.

Hardest part for me is that no one seems to want to talk to you about it and brushes you off with "you'll be fine". That is the wonderful gift from these sisters - they know, undertstand , care and will talk to you day or night. (Even when my questions were dumb).

Best advice I was given was to pamper myself and do fun things. It really works - I have been sitting in the jacuzzi, sipping hot cocoa, readiing great novels and shopping (shhh DH might hear).

Feel free to e-mail me if you need to talk, scream, or cry. Will be here if you need me.

I too am having surgery Sept. 10.
I know exactly how you feel!!!! I am scared, hopeful, anxious and at times numb with dealing with it all.

However, deep down inside, I feel everything will be okay. Positive thoughts generate positive energy.
Bring positive energy your way.

All will be well.

Getting Ready too.

Hi,
I am scheduled for a TAH and SBO with repair of cystocele and rectocele on 9-11 . The date bothered me at first, but at least I will miss the memorial services on TV. I am scared too. But today I did a lot of cleaning and shopping and I remember tonight why I am doing this. Pain! My biggest fear is entering the hormone jungle. The more I read the more confused I get. We will both be fine. I will be praying for you on 9-10. Hugs!!

2 weeks and counting

I'm having a TAH on 09/09/02, for large fiboids and heavy bleeding. I started with Lupron at the end of June and have been feeling pretty good until 2 days ago. My last Lupron injection was last Thursday and I don't think it is doing anything. I'v started with heavier bleeding(oh joy) and my abdomen is so big it just aches. So at this point, I can't wait to have these fibroids taken out! I was planning on some major cleaning these next few weeks , but now I just don't feel like it. What other things do you all have planned for pre-op fun? This site has been a blessing to me and be in touch with all of you LIW.

This is the best place for you to be! I visited this site many many times in the weeks and days before my surgery. I know that I would never have made it through sanely without all these lovely ladies!
Best of luck to you. Once you are on the other side, you will be rejoicing!
