hormone question ?
Rosezella,
You will find a list of your choices for estrogen replacement here www.hormonejungle.com/estrogen.php In addition here is a chart that lists the ingredients for the different brands of estrogen
http://www.rxstat.net/hormchart.html
Why did you switch from the Vivelle? How long have you been on the Estratest and premarin? When starting or changing hrt sometimes it does take the body awhile to adjust to the new hormone.

hormone question ?
Rozella,
Estratest is made with a synthetic, plant based estrogen. Premarin is not plant based, but menest and cenestin are similar and are plant based. Some women have had success with using estratest in combination with premarin/cenestin.
I don't know why you are having headaches - remember it will take a few weeks for any change in HRT to have its full effect. I suffered from migraines all my adult life - and the less estrogen I take the fewer migraines I get. But that is not true for everyone (and you are quite a bit older than I). Many things besides hormones can contribute to headaches and if they continue you should see your doctor again.

hormone question ?
I was switched because I am having hot flashes, and really bad night sweats, but the the vaginal dryness and tightness is really uncomfortable.but the headaches is what is driving me crazy. my gp said my thyroid is enlarged I should get the ultrasound results today.but my t4,t3 came out good.we were hoping that was why my hair keeps coming out,but guess not.

hormone question ?
The vaginal dryness often responds better to vaginal estrogen products - at least it did for me. I found that if I took more oral/patch estrogen I just got bloated but had no real relief from the dryness. Using vaginal estrogen cream really helped me and I was able to reduce my oral medication to a dose that gave me less bloating and swelling

thank you both for the reply's
I 'm confused about the estratest? so is it plant based or not? and why the tostesterone not sure of spelling. why do you think he added that? I asked him he said at my age 30,that our body needs it.I asked about progesterone instead,he said I don't need it because I don't have a uterus.I thought our bodies could convert the progesterone to the tostesterone? sorry keep going on just trying to figure it all out.
