Granulation tissue Again :(

I had my LAVH W/ BSO ON 5/1/02 and had some granulation tissue removed 8/3/02 by lasor (OUCH). Well, I went back for my follow-up yesterday and yup....more granulation tissue! It's back to the laser for me in 2 weeks

I'll be faxing my Dr. some of these questions, but in the mean time I haven't been able to find a lot of info in granulation. From what I can gather, I'm falling into the abnormal category by needing this done again. A few ?'s

1. Is there any way to prevent it from happening again? (like no activity or exercise or diet etc?)

2. If I'm scarring lik this where the Dr. can see it, am I building this type of scar tissue internally too?

3. Why treat it? Is the discharge harmful or can the site get infected?

Any input you might have would be greatly appreciated!

I'm still to have this done again cause it hurt so bad the last time!

Granulation tissue Again :(

You are smart to have your granulation treated by laser. I waited too long (7 months) to see my doc about mine and it was so bad at that point, I had to have it surgically removed. So even though it is painful, hopefully this next treatment will be your last!
