ca125 number

my ca125 number, after my last chemo treatment, is now down to 11. I was really hoping for the single digit number but that did not happen. My oncologist says that this number now becomes my baseline number for future testing. Anyone know how low these numbers actually go and can it go lower even though chemo has stopped??

ca125 number

s Rosalie

Yes the number seems to hop around a tiny bit. My onc has told me that from the same vial of blood a four point difference can be found.
Here is the way my ca 125 has trended since chemo ended:
8,10, 8, 12, and lastly 10.
Your future readings could vary a bit in either direction.

Eleven is Good--Darn Good

My CA125 dropped to 8 early this year after a baseline of 14. I was off chemo 6 months at the time. I've heard of a low of 1.8 from a woman on my Acor.org board. Doing Good at 11!!!
