Vaginal cuff??

This might sound silly, but I've been seeing a lot of girls mentoining the "vaginal cuff" and how it hurts sometimes especially during intercourse. What exactly is that? Maybe someone could help me. Thanks a lot

Vaginal cuff??

Hi! I used the little purple search button up in the corner of my screen. Here is a link to one of the threads I found. I hope that it answers your question. Especially read the post by HappyCM3

Not a silly question

The vaginal cuff is what they do when they seal off the area where your cervix and uterus was. The best description I have heard is to think of it as a toilet paper tube that is crimped at the top! One thing is for sure, they dont just leave you wide open when they remove your cervix and uterus.

From my own personal experience I have no pain with intercourse, and dont feel any different at all as a matter of fact!!!
Well maybe that isn't totally true, I feel free and spontaneous!!!!

Good luck to you!!!!!

Vaginal cuff??

Thank you so much. The info really helped and I can say I understand it now. Just hope mine heals ok cause it seems a lot of women have had problems with granulation tissue. Can you tell if you are getting that or do you just have to wait till Dr. checks you? Thanks again!!

vaginal cuff

And here I'd been using the description of a tube sock! The toilet paper roll crimped shut on top is a much better description!

NL

My cuff was slow in healing, but I did not develop granulation. I found out at my six week check that the cuff was still healing. I get the impression that you will know if you have granulation as you will have some spotting or discharge late in the game.

Good luck to you, and I hope your recovery is uneventful!!!!
