A Song for us LIW

Last night I couldn't sleep. While lying in bed thinking of all the things I'm scared about the tune to the Sound of Music song, "My Favorite Things" came into my head (not sure why) and in my madness I created the following song.
While I may have gone off the deep end, I hope this brings a smile to my fellow LIW.

Pain meds not working and allergic drug reactions
Bowel prep and bloating and even constipation
What if I never enjoy sex again?
These are a few of the scarier things

Tearing the incision and wearing granny undies
Catheter and needles and maybe even puking
Hospital roommate that talks constantly
These are a few of the scarier things

Thinking about dying or never feeling better
Trouble waking up from the anesthesia
Infections and a swelly belly that won't go away
These are a few of the scarier things

When the panic strikes
When my heart pounds
When I'm feeling bad
I simply remember to come to this board
And then I don't feel so bad

I'm glad you liked it. I can't wait until I can write one from the post-op side. This waiting really is awful.

Thank you Tricia for that lovely song......how true...these are the scary things

P.S. I am so glad to have my computer at home (will be working here after surgery) so that I can keep in touch with the fellow sisters and the stories.

Keep up the good work
