Hello all..
Just a note to introduce myself. I'm Kelly, 30 years old with a recently diagnosed Placental Site Trophoblastic Tumor, a very rare form of cancer. I am scheduled for a hysterectomy next Thursday to correct the problem. I may however be going in tomorrow due to some unforseen circumstances that have arisen. (i.e. more pain and blood test results, HCG levels are rising) Just wanted to drop a note and say hello before I went for my "slice and dice". I just had surgery 4 weeks ago for removal of an ectopic pregnancy which is how this all began so I sort of know what to expect this time around. I look forward to getting to know you all. Much Love...
Kelly

Welcome Kelly

I'm sorry you have cancer and thereby have to join us, but this is a great group of women and we welcome you. I'm also sorry your pregnancy was ectopic, but how fortunate they noticed this rare tumor. Please let us know how you do after the hysterectomy and what followup you'll have. We can at least offer encouragement and if they do chemo/radiation, many of us can be helpful there. A big and a er that all goes well.

s Kelly

Welcome to Cancer Concerns. I am one of your neighbors in NJ.
I am sorry to hear all that you are going through. An ectopic pregnancy is enough in itself. You sound like you have a great attitude about the situation. I hope you stop back and tell us more about your situation.
In the meantime, as you anticipate surgery, please read the pre and post op forums on hystersisters. There is no better place to get yourself prepared for surgery.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Kelly,

Ditto, what everyone says above. I'm so impressed that in the midst of all this you got on the internet to find some support - how wonderfully resourceful of you! And you've DEFINITELY come to the right place.
