Wish me Luck

Ive had my TAH/BSO on 10/22

my entire procedure was called

Laparotomy Exploratory TAH/BSO

since being diagnosed with a bordeline malignancy tumor, my oncologist joined my gyn dr to do the surgery

i have a vertical incision

and whatever they could take for a biopsy, they took

they even removed my appendix

i should have the results monday (hopefully)

im nervous, this waiting to see if there were anymore tumor cells or if everything is ok now is very nerve racking

im praying, they found nothing and trying to be hopeful ! but it scares me to death

I agree, the waiting is so difficult. Hopefully your pathology will be available for you on Monday and you'll find out that the surgery was all the treatment you need. Please let us know!
May your recovery continue on a smooth course.
Best wishes.

Ksses,

Murphy's Law sure kicked in for you today. I can imagine how you are feeling.....how I hate to make those phone calls looking for results.

Try to relax!!! Hopefully, no surprises were found.
I am surprised that a pathology report and /or operating room report would be mailed to you before you even got to speak to the doctor. This is definitely not a good idea. Too many medical phrases could be quite alarming. I suggest if the mail arrives before the docs phone call, don't even open the envelope. JMHO (from a veteran ICU nurse)
Be in touch.
