allergy to liners?

I found this thread after a search and wonder if it could be related to my problem. I do not believe I have an infection, but I have noticed that my panty liners (and sometimes undies) are turning blue! There is no visible discharge, just discoloration! I had a TAH on March 31st..kept my ovaries so I am not on HRT. Could it be some kind of chemical reaction?

Hi Bonnie

Wow, this thread is an oldie.

It looks like your urine is reacting to something on the liner and your knickers. Now that's really interesting. I would definitely think it's something chemical. The problem here is what does your panti liner and knickers have in common. It can't be detergent because you don't wash panti liners. It must somehow be connected to your urine. We have a mystery here!!!!

Can you explain what symptoms you are having?

Hey Silverfern,

Thanks for response.... there are no symptoms! I feel fine.

It is certainly a mystery.

Hi Bonnie

Working on the acid/alkaline question, doesn't acid turn things blue? I'm thinking of my hydrangeas here, you feed them acid fertilizer to make the flowers turn blue. Anyway I digress. Please don't take offence to me comparing you to a flower. I wonder if it could be something you're eating or drinking. Are you taking any supplements? Just a thought.

Have you mentioned it to your doctor? I think I would as it certainly needs some explanation. Good luck and I'm glad you're feeling fine!!!!
