Nausea help - please !

Hi !

I began my Phospho Soda at 9 AM. It really didn't taste that badly - sort of like Alka Seltzer. But, now 4 hours later I am feeling very nauseated. Since I am on the clear liquids there is not much I can do about it. I have been drinking boullion (sp?) and clear fluids. But, I just started sipping a glass of tea. It seems to help.

I am allowed anything that can be seen through - including coffee (but no milk or cream). But, the gellatin must be plain - so that leaves out any jello.

Does anyone have any hints? This is such a sick feeling. Thanks.

Hey Rayna

Sorry to hear you are feeling so badly. I understand as I have had to drink that stuff and you are much braver than me! I thought it tasted horrible! Anyway, you may want to check with your doctor on this, but I was allowed to have YELLOW jello (lemon flavor). I just couldn't eat orange or red jello due to the color, but perhaps you could do the lemon?

I know even smelling lemon jello now will make me sick - it brings back the memories of that awful prep!

Thanks Lisa !

I don't have any lemon here ( and afraid to leave - if you know what I mean ), but I do have some peach jello. I think I will try that.

I can understand why you are reluctant to leave the house - I would be too!

I was told to stay away from anything red or orange and that is why I went with Lemon. I used to like it, but not anymore I'm sure the doctor's office could tell you if the peach was okay or not. Maybe you could give them a call?

Good luck and 's

Rayna,
Warm 7-up has usually helped me with nausea and helps to settle the tummy. As Dawn suggests, ginger ale is suppose to be good for nausea also.

Good luck sweetie I hope things get better soon.

The only thing that works for me is a really cold, wet wash rag. If I can put it on my neck and lay down usually that will kick the nausea for me. The sitrate (sp?) stuff I had to drink last week for my poop-a-thon made me nauseous. The cold rag trick helped.

I hope your tummy is feeling better soon!!!

I know how you feel. I had a colonoscopy

in Sept and had drink that awful stuff. I was nausea all day long. I guess some people have senstive stomachs. What work for me was lay down and drink cold water. The nausea finally subsided. Take care. It does get better.

I threw my second batch up. First batch was at 4pm and I felt nauseous but handled it. Second batch at 7pm was too much.
