When reading a bill explanation

I found one of the procedures called transposition ovary. What does that mean?

Bill

I would call billing department, and ask them. That would be my guess

I Couldn't Find Anything Definitive

You got me going, so I checked out Intelihealth and went to the Internet. The closest I got was in the Medworks site and I really wasn't sure what they were talking about. I think maybe moving the ovary around but not taking it out...but I'm not sure. Better ask the billers!

transposition

I would ask my doctor/surgeon.

Something Like, " just where did you transport my ovary to during surgery " ???

OK-- just offering some humor here. Really though, you need to ask your doctor. They should explain surgical proceedure. The physician writes out a surgical report. I asked for a copy. It gave me a greater appreciation for the entire surgery, and all the reasons I needed to heal.

I commend you on pushing to understand it all. Way to go!!
