Cancer coming back??

My TAH/BSO was almost 2 years ago for uterine cancer. I have gone back to the doctor every 6 months like I am supposed to. My last Pap about a month ago showed a low grade lesion (LGSIL) and my doctor wants me to have a colposcopy and biopsy.

My last 3 visits have all shown granulation tissue and each time I have had silver nitrate used. My doctor suspects that this abnormal reading is due to this granulation tissue.

Has anyone else had this happen? How likely is this lesion to lead to cancer again. Has granulation tissue ever turned into cancer? Any comments or thoughts are welcome. My colposcopy is next week and I will have lots of questions for the doctor but it's nice to hear from all of you.

Cancer coming back??

Shari
I had a hyst last summer for a stage 1 uterine ca. I had my first 3 month check up last week and she found an itsy tiny piece of granulation during the check up. I of course was worried, but he path came back today that is was benign tissue. My pap has not come back yet. I would be interested to know if your pap results are because of granualtion. I hope everything is alright. What type and stage of endo ca did you have? Chris

Cancer coming back??

Hi Shari!

I don't have any personal experience with this type but thought I'd send you some 's and hope that everything turns out okay.

I'm sure someone with some first hand experience will be along shortly to lend a hand.

Please keep us posted on how things go for you. We'll be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
