Freezing Cold Hands & Full Throat - 26 DPO

I'm 26 days post op. Recovering well with no known setbacks.

Two post op symptoms:
1) My hands are freezing cold most of the day. The rest of my body is a normal temp. Hands are not turning blue. I do not have Raynauds. I do have an autoimmune thyroid disease.

2) I have a full feeling in my throat that is noticeable each time I swallow. Physical exam of thyroid yesterday was said to be normal. Ultrasound scheduled next month.

I'd appreciate any insight!

I’ve had cold hands too! I had my six week post op exam yesterday and mentioned it—He said it was most likely hormonal and that my ovaries were still sorting themselves out. Not sure about the throat stuff though.

Re: Freezing Cold Hands & Full Throat - 26 DPO

For my cold hands, gloves don't help at all. But it helps to wear something on my head, or warm socks (or slippers), or something around my neck. Since Reynauds has been ruled out, i agree that this might be hormonal. If you find other helpful ways to warm your hands or avoid them getting quite so cold, let us know

The throat feeling is an interesting thing. Has it been like this since the operation? I'm feeling like that myself right now, like my throat is thick and when it swallow it's like there's a lump in my throat - but for me, this is related to my sinuses being clogged and my nose stuffy from a massive head cold. I hope you figure out what explains your throat feeling so you can find ways to get relief!
