Still having problems
Hi
I'm having bladder problems. Mine started about a year before my surgery. I never told anyone about it because at first I thought the pain was all related to my gynecological problems....maybe it was???? Over that year, I was having to get up more and more at night to empty my bladder. The last few months before my surgery I was getting up 3-4 times a night and going every 1/2 hour to an hour during the day.
I had my hysterectomy in June, I seemed cured. I ordered a copy of my surgery report and it said that there was "some scarring of the bladder to the anterior lower uterine segment". I thought that was my problem. I felt so much better, so it had to be what was causing my bladder problems. After my surgery, I was sleeping through the night and only going to the bathroom every 3 hours! And no pain!
Well, over the last month or so, I have been having bladder pain again and I am back to going every 1/2 hour to an hour during the day. I went to my gyn a couple weeks ago and he put me on Ditropan.....it's not working at all. He said if it didn't work when I go see him again (on 12/3) that he will refer my to a urologist. I guess that will be my next step. BUT, I will definately ask him about the possibility of scar tissue/adhesions being the problem....it makes sence to me, but I'm not a doctor
I hope you start feeling better soon. It's no fun at all Hang in there and keep us posted on how you're doing
