Upcoming dynamic MRI

Been posting here and there... had hysterectomy in May. Feeling of bowels coming out, rectal pressure, kind of bulging perineum, like crowning almost... all started in July. I tried just about everything. Fiber, colace, Senna, femme ease tool, suppositories, enemas... not eating. Not eating works but it’s not really a long term solution. On the bright side, despite having no ovaries and no HRT, I keep losing weight. (jk, it’s miserable). Had pelvic ultrasound, which showed nothing. My Obgyn gave up. I have up too after trying all these things and went to Johns Hopkins pelvic floor disorders dept. I have to say, so far a whole different experience. They have not heard of my surgeon and they didn’t seem convinced I had needed the hysterectomy. I wasn’t either, but all the doctors I saw said “do it”. Either way, I’m not putting anything back in. So now I’m scheduled for a dynamic MRI, I do have a rectocele and splint externally. If I didn’t have the discomfort, I could live with it. They also want me to be evaluated by a colorectal surgeon on the team. Then we regroup. If it’s adhesions, too bad for me. If it’s prolapse, maybe we can fix. I’m willing to consider it is all in my head, I just can’t dedicate 4-5 hours a day trying to poop and doing acrobatics on the potty, plus the constant discomfort. Anyone can tell me what’s a dynamic mri, I see it often associated with a defecography online. Is that the same? Ugh.

Lilu68. I wanted to check to see if you’ve had your MRI and what it showed. I had prolapse repairs with my hysterectomy but did not have the MRI. Please let us know how you are dear.

Upcoming dynamic MRI

Strange, I posted a response but it is not there. So I had to postpone everything because of a covid exposure. I will update when I have more news...

Upcoming dynamic MRI

Good morning. Finally had MRI, with contrast gel. It was not pleasant but it was not too bad, technologist and nurses were very sweet. Waiting for results. Meanwhile Valium suppositories are definitely helping but I try to ration them so I won’t get used to it. And started celexa for hot flashes, Effexor made me very sick.
