nausea

I had a tah on December 2 and have actually progressed faster than I thought I would. Yesterday I experienced a whole day of nausea, stomach cramps, my first bowel movement was normal that day and then the rest and there were many were diarrhea. Has anyone had this happen?

nausea

Hi Hummer

Although I never had any diarrhea, I did experience nausea on a regular basis. I still do sometimes. I'm not sure what causes it. I am assuming it is just the stress of the whole surgery thing.

Keep us posted.

nausea

I too had terrible nausea after surgery requiring meds. However, my doc immediately switched me to the estrogen patch, told me to get my fluids up and start moving. (That doesn't mean laundry, dishes and chores -Just Walking.) Believe it or not, the increase in fluids helped a lot.

I also had the problem for a few weeks after surgery of constipation and then diaherra. This little adventure resulted in having to get procto foam from the doc because of the bowel spasms. I also went through two jump packages of tucks. Remember that you are losing lots of water through diaherra. You could try water with a few ounces of cranberry juice for taste. Apple juice, orange juice and prune juice will just keep you in the bathroom.

Good luck and I am sure you will feel better soon,
sherri
