pelvic pressure

Hello, its me again. I just wanted to ask everyone how long does pelvic pain and pressue last. I don't hurt everyday and I have not been doing much of anything. It seems by the evening time I hurt right about the middle of the pelvic area. I haven't had much of a discharge since doc cleaned out the vaginal cuff last week. No odor or sign of infection. Will this get better? Will walking help the pressure? Thanks everyone!

pelvic pressure

Hi Lois,

I had what I described as abdominal "pressure" for about 4 weeks post-op. I didn't experience it at rest, but did when I would take my walks. It was also about that time that the weather was nicer and I was taking my walks outside. To tell the truth, I don't remember exactly when things began to feel better, but do remember that by around 6 weeks post-op, I felt pretty good as long as I didn't over-exert.

However, you've had the added complication of problems with your vaginal cuff, so this may prolong your symptoms a bit longer. Or, since the Dr. cleaned the area, maybe it will make it go quicker. The best thing would be to keep in touch with your Dr. about your progress. I hope things improve quickly for you!

Best wishes and s
