Side effects of prog. cream

Hi, are there any side effects to prog. cream?
I started on it 5days ago. I'm on a compounded
cream, 50mg. 1gram daily for 25days. How long
does it take it to start working? The pharamacist
said about 2wks..What's been everyone's experience?
Thanks, Sharon

Side effects of prog. cream

i felt the effects of my prog in a couple of days (transdermal) and have not had any side effects. the sign of too much is being tired and every once in a while we get women that have some minor problems with it...hopefully they will post.

Here's the list of too much/too little estrogen/progesterone:

too much/too little

When I was on too much progesterone I didn't get tired, though many do. What I got was hyper, dizzy, and an electric buzzing feeling, which I believe was due to low estrogen (the progesterone was competing with the estrogen so I wasn't getting any of the low amount of estrogen I was using).

Hope this helps!

-Linda

Sharon,
My pharmacist told me that some of the effects of too much could be depression, lethargy and food cravings. There was a point where I was getting too much and I was craving munchies big time. I mentioned this to my pharmacist and she had me lower my dose and the cravings went away.

Good luck! Let us know how you're doing.
