Almost 1 year post hysterectomy - swelly belly still an issue. Normal?

This month will be one year post op for me.
I still struggle with swelly belly some days. Is this normal?
I also feel like I’m still healing in my pelvic area. Like the tendons are pulling and stretching.

Yes, it is not unusual, healing takes a long time and the swelling is a sign that inflammation is still present

I'm roughly 10 months post op and still get swelly belly if I do too much. Also still have pain/sensitivity at my bikini-line incision. I have heard it can take 12-18 months for the body to settle. My energy is coming back and after 4 months of pelvic floor therapy I can do light weight training without getting short of breath. Small victories

It doesn’t shift really, but most think everything is back at pre op level after 6 weeks, or when you are cleared.

The 6 weeks (or more for some) is just that you are safe from anything major happening. In this forum, we always mention that healing continues for many months

actually my "shifting" comment is more for my medical team....most here posting are more realistic and that is why this forum has been so helpful.

I'm 1.5 years out and still notice fluctuating belly and pelvic irritation and still so much fatigue. Sometimes it's very tender where my ovaries are and pressing the incisions can make me flinch. Other times I can press them with no problems. I just keep waiting it out hopeful that eventually it's all a thing of the past. While I'm glad the majority of pain and pressure is gone, these and other post op issues make me wonder if I should have done it. Maybe the 2 year mark will be my golden day lol

Just curious, how does the pelvic floor therapy help with shortness of break. I would appreciate any info thanks
