Update On My Mom!

Hi ladies,
I just wanted you to know that your prayers, kind sweet words have been very helpful. My Mom, I and my family really appreciates them, and love you for doing so. They have diagnosed her with diabetes and are doing more tests. Her sugar level was 670, when she was admitted, they started insulin drip, it helped to get it down to 150, they stopped the drip and was watching her last night, to see how she would do. She did pretty good,
She said we just have to wait on the Lord! I told her you are absolutely right. Yesterday, Mom walked down the hall with her physical therapists, she did pretty good, she is still having pain in her arm from where she fell, she did manage to comb her hair today, well at least she tried, she wanted to do it herself (I let her, keeps her feeling independent) she is not out of the woods yet, but is feeling a little bit better. they will be giving her insulin in the IV until they get it adjusted for her needs. She said pleasssssssee keep the prayers going. Also my son is doing better , I am thankful for that!Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Please continue to pray for us.

sGod bless you!

Happy That Mon and Son Are Better

Diabetes is very serious, but now that they know, they can work with your mom to get the right dosage and keep her healthy. Also, I'm glad your son is better. That was a lot going on at once. Your whole family is on my prayre list so the prayers will keep coming daily. Tell Mom we're a small group but we seem to pray powerfully and we're pulling for her! Ellen

Update On My Mom!

This is wonderful news Shirley.
My father was a diabetic and now my brother. It can be managed but the initial throws of it are hard to work through. I will keep praying for her. I'm glad your son is doing better. Asthma is very scary.
I love to read the 11th chapter of Hebrews, where it talks of faith and gives us many examples of "men of old". Maybe your mom would be uplifted by it too.
Keep us informed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Another Small Update On My Mom!

Hi ladies,
Thank you for the continue prayers. My Mom is still holding her own, Fri morning they had to hook her back up to the insulin drip, because her sugar level went back to 200 from 150, they left the drip in and gave her insulin pills all day Friday, they kept her on insulin because they wanted to make sure the pills get into her system. (Fri) night the veins blew twice, they couldn't get the needle back in, they had to call the iv therapist to put it in, it went right the first time, it worked until Sat night, blew again, they said something has to be done, the doctor decided that since my Moms veins keep blowing, he would have to go another route, so hey have a heparin lock in her arm now, and are giving her insulin pills and insulin shots, to see if they can work on her levels that way, through out it all, my Mom is doing pretty good, her fingers are sore (where they keep checking her levels) she even manage to make a joke about she is running out of fingers. Also she is able to go to bathroom, without stumbling. they are going to watch her tomorrow and see how she does walking down the halls. She is in good spirits. She said that she loves you all and pray that she has a good night. Love you my sisters.
