Any funny holiday pet stories?

Does anyone have funny holiday pet stories?
Our beagle has one Christmas ornament she keeps taking, very carefully, off the tree. She then lays on it.

My friends dog always does his business behind a pine tree in the yard. Now with the Christmas tree in the house, her dog does his business in the house...behind the tree!

Love,
Maggie

Any funny holiday pet stories?

Hi There,

Only one thing comes to mine mind. Pepper my 11 month old teacup party pom for the first time lifted his leg to go outside the day after Christmas. I never thought he would because Sparkie our 9 year pom always does when they go out together.

funny beagles

My beagle Tanner was barking and growling up a storm Christmas morning. At first I thought "she thinks I over slept and am going to be late to work," but when I went to the garage to check on her, she was huddled in the corner with her tail between her legs (whoever had her before us abused her). I coaxed her out with some treats and rubbed her belly and went back upstairs. While taking a shower, I hear all the commotion again. I go down stairs and she's again huddled in the corner. The best I can figure is she was going crazy because of the snow! What a crazy dog!!

Talking - Any funny holiday pet stories? Hi Ladies!

I haven't posted on the pet board before, but I wanted to join in this thread!

We have a 3 year old Keeshond, female named Diva. She was so cute with her present. I (or Santa Paws) brought her a stuffed Gorilla that "screams", she loves it, figuring out quickly how to bite it to make the noise.

The kitties got a whole catnip kit. It had a scratcher, buzzing mouse, and catnip bubbles. They are not fond of the bubbles, but one kitty completely hogs the scratcher with catnip.

Buying for the furkids is so fun!

We got two chinchillas in December. Santa brought them a large plastic ball to run around the house in. Since they're still getting used to us, they try to run back into the cage while still in the ball which is way too large to fit in the cage!

Any funny holiday pet stories?

There was the year my beagle Babe ate tinsel.................and we didn't know it until she hopped up into the bed (where she slept with us........spoiled rotten, I know) and there was this shiny stuff hanging out of her butt................luckily it passed and didn't hurt her.........but she never did it again!!

My beagle Peaches kept stealing ornaments out of a little Xmas basket I had set on the coffee table this year.........but only the green ornaments!!

Maggie thanks for the beagle site!!

Any funny holiday pet stories?

Well, on Dec. 17, the day before my hyst., the Humane Society was sponsoring Pet Pictures With Santa at the mall. Needing a diversion, I decided to take our English bulldog, Chaucer.

We had to wait in line for an hour because there were so many people/pets!!!! Chaucer was the only English bulldog and he commanded tons of attention from everyone!

We finally got to our turn with Santa. Chaucer takes one look at the guy and backs off. We coaxed him forward, he sniffed Santa's boots and decided he liked him. So, all 70 pounds of him jumps on Santa's lap, removes Santa's beard and covers his face with kisses!! ROFL, everyone in the Mall started laughing and cheering! Santa was obviously a dog lover because he couldn't stop laughing either.

It took a few minutes to get the beard away from Chaucer -- he thought it was a new lovey and wouldn't stop nuzzling it. So one of the elves brought a large step stool and we hoisted Chaucer on it while Santa put his beard back on. (Covered in dog spit by this time, mmmm! LOL). Chaucer was too big to sit on the stool, but Santa was able to lift up his front legs and hold him so he could pose for the camera.

Got great Santa pics, but I was sure wishing that I had brought my own camera along for the fun before we got him posed! LOL
