Frozen Pelvis

Hi !

Has anyone with severe endo been told after your hysterectomy that you had a frozen pelvis (all pelvic organs stuck and matted together)?
Also, have any of you had further pelvic surgery after this condition and was it a difficult surgery? I might have to have more surgery due to hysterectomy complications and was wondering if anyone else has heard of this.

Frozen Pelvis

((((Anita))))) I'm so sorry you might be facing yet another surgery I've never had to deal with the endo monster, so can't offer any first hand experience here. I'm sure someone will pop up real soon and will be able to shed share some personal experience.

However, I know that I've seen others mention that all of their organs were stuck together due to either endo or adhesions. You might want to do a search on the subject.

Sending lots of s your way. Please keep us posted.

Frozen Pelvis

I was told before my hyst that I had a frozen pelvis. I saw two Gyns before my surgery and the Dr. that told me that is not the Dr. that did my hyst. The Dr. himself did a vaginal ultrasound and that's when he said it was frozen. I'm wishing a thousand times over that I'd let him do the surgery, but that's another story.

The gyn that did my surgery did not mention anything to that affect. Actually my op report looks like a generic canned form letter.

I had done some research on it several months back and it basically was what Dany mentioned below - that your organs are stuck together.

Sorry I was not much help except to say that 'yes I have heard the term and I was told that I had a frozen pelvis'

Frozen Pelvis

Nancy -

Thanks for your post. I wish that I would of known before my hysterectomy that I had a frozen pelvis, I would have sought out a very skilled surgeon. I've had severe and on-going complications for 9 months now - ever since the hysterectomy.
I had very severe endometriosis.
