Pelvic Congestion

After 20 years of severe monthly cramps, fertility problems and the last 3 months of constant pain I discovered that I had Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. My Dr. suggested a TVH/BSO, I was so tired of the pain I happily agreed. My surgery was December 13th. I am now almost 3 weeks post op and am still having a lot of the same pain I had before the surgery.

My question is has anyone had a hyst because of pelvice congestion and did your pain go away? I pray that there is some hope out there somewhere.

Pelvic Congestion

KayTee, pelvic congestion syndrome was my first diagnosis but after a D&C, I was given a diagnosis of adenomyosis. Path report confirmed it. But I do know several ladies who had their hysts because of pelvic congestion and did fine. You are a little early in your recovwery thus far so please give it some time. If the pain continues or worsens, please give your doctor a call. Remember to rest and don't overdo which would add to your discomfort. Perhaps do a search on pelvic congetion syndrome on the site to see what others have experienced. Take care and hopefully things will improve in the next week or so.......

i will be 6 weeks out on Friday

I was tentatively diagnosed with Adeno... but then at surgery, they decided it was PCS instead. I lost 500 ml of blood on the table, and they took a 187 gram (normal is 60) ute off my poor abused and squashed bladder. i had a lot of the same way uncomfortable crampy stuff till midway through my third week, and then all of a sudden I had a pain free moment...... It had been so long it took a minute or so to figure out what it was that had got my attention.
Gas still bothers my lower abdomen... as does a full bladder, but other than that, I am mostly pain free now. I can still feel it mind you, but it is not beating on the back of my brain any more for attention like it was all last year, and for the first three weeks post.
You will get there...
Tylenol PM worked for me at night, and sometimes a heating pad, just like before surgery. Now i am starting to feel like I vaguely remember feeling when I was a teenager before I had kids....
befroe all the pain... Wow. it's like i dropped 20+ years from my pelvis!
