An Update

Hi All,

Just thought I would update everyone on how I am doing. I feel sort of bad that I have not felt the need as much post op to come on the board and chat. I'm taking this as a good sign of healing but I also wanted to share good stories for those waiting and anyone else.

My surgery was Nov. 27th so I am in my 5th week post op. My body is telling me when I'm doing to much and I have great support from family. Last week was the worst because I wanted to do all the Christmas stuff. I did too much and still felt like I didn't do anything. But we got through it and each time I over do it I feel better and better sooner and sooner.

I noticed that even though the Dr and everyone else said take 6 weeks off, I gave myself 2 weeks. When one works at home it's hard to not go to work. I have been having trouble staying still when I have 3 & 5 year olds wanting to play. But we are slowly moving along.

My surgery was more complicated than expected but went incredibly well. Thank you to all the sisters who prayed for me and I'm sending prayers out to all who need them.

I better go now. Thanks again.

Love, Betsy

Hi Betsy!

Thanks for the update on your recovery. I do think you need to still get as much rest as you can. We want you to have a complete and uncomplicated recovery. Follow your doctor's instructions - if they say 6 weeks off, they really mean it. Take care.
