returning endo? IBS?

{{{{{{{Steph}}}}}}}} good luck hun with your surgery next week. I hope it helps to make you pain-free. I chuckled when I saw you mention Pete, your doc. I remember you discussing him many times in chat. I hope he works wonders for you. Take care and let us know how you are doing......

returning endo? IBS?

((Steph)),
When I had my right Ovary removed it was done out-patient, usually when this is done Lap it doesnt require an overnite stay. I think it depends on how well you tolerate the surgery itself & the pain afterwards. I always had to be able to urinate or pass gas before I was released My prayers will be with you that this will finally provide you with some relief

returning endo? IBS?

((((((((((Steph)))))))))) S

I also want you to know that I will keep you in my prayers. I hope and pray this lap will get you off of this road and onto a path of a painfree life.

If you ever want to chat, please feel free to e-mail or pm me anytime. I had a lap done approx 7-8 months following my LAVH/BSO where more Endo was found. I know that I still have it because of the on-going pain

I escaped

Well I am done and home. Sore and woozy and ouchy with the shoulder pains but of course I had to get on the computer Not for long as DH is here supervising me!

I got to talk to Pete while they were setting me up and he seemed quite sure I'd come out of there with one ovary.

Well he took both after all as both were totally glued up with adhesions - (wonder what they were stuck to???)

That's all I remember him saying when I was in recovery, he said lots but I have NO idea what as I was totally out of it on pethidine!!(known as demerol in the US). He said something about rectal/vaginal or cuff adhesions but I CAN'T REMEMBER what LOL!!!

I asked the nurses a bit later but they couldn't (or wouldn't?) tell me much, only that I have a estradiol 2mg to start on Sunday. So now I am wondering... don't some docs say wait a while before starting HRT if you have endo???

I see Pete Tuesday to get stitches out so by then my brain might be working again so I can ask what he did and what he plans for me.

I felt all the good hystersisters wishes with me when I was in there - thank you all

love
Steph - who is now going to bed!

returning endo? IBS?

haha I am really going nuts now - replying to my own post???

Seriously I just thought of another question as I can't ask doc till Tuesday.

When I checked into the hosp I saw on the paperwork I was scheduled for hysteroscopy and lap. I forgot about it but I just remembered that when I came round the nurse was checking my pad. I found that hilarious at the time and told her there was no way I needed it since I had a hyst! The nurse didn't say much except that he had done a "lot of messing about in there". I wonder if ""messing about" is a proper medical term??? LOL

I forgot all this in the haze of the demerol but am now remembering. Weird!

Is it even possible to have a hysteroscopy if you have no cervix to go up through??? Maybe it was a mistake on the paperwork but then why the pad?

Boy am I confused!

Steph.

Hey Steph!!

Twinny!! I just wanted to let you know you're in my prayers and I hope you'll soon be feeling better. You've sure had your share! I actually came on here today for my husband's secretary who thinks she might have IBS. They did a lap to see if it was scar tissue, but the doctor says her uterus looks great. I told her to check on here to see what she might be able to find out and imagine my surprise to see my twinny on here! Drop me an email and let me know how you're doing, ok? Don't make me call you! lol
