good news

I had an appt with the doctor yesterday while I was having chemo and he is is changing his mind about my prognosis. He said that two months ago I was anemic, having fevers, and down to 89 lbs. Based on that, the results of the pet scan and my intestinal problems he decided against radiation and put me on the high dose chemo. He said my cancer could not be cured, but only controlled. Now that the fevers, anemia is gone and I 'm up to 97 lb.s the doctor wants to another scan and possibly radiation. He said I just might be cured! I will wait the results of the scan before getting too excited, but it sure seems hopeful

WOW!!!!! (((Debbie)))) thats wonderful news!! I am thrilled for you and I pray the scan proves your doctors thoughts correct!
I do know that they don't kick around that "cure" word lightly unless they are pretty sure of things so for him to say you may be cured is so great!!!!
You go girl!!!!!!!! Your wonderful attitude has scared those cells right out of there!!!!!!!
Prayers and hugs for an excellent scan!!
