Newly Crowned, waiting is SOOOO hard!

I had my hyster on Friday and came home on Sunday. I was told by the doc that the preliminary path report would be available by Monday. It is Wed now and no call from doc. I called yesterday and no call back. This is unusual for him. The reason I am so worried is that I opted not to do a cone after my coploscopy, just to have everything removed, why an extra procedure to see if it was deeper because I can see the path for that. Oh my, what if something is wrong? I HATE to wait! Not a very patient person.

Just need to vent. Thanks!

Waiting is the worst!

It may be taking a while for pathology to dictate the report and get it to the doctor. I'd call politely again Thursday if no word and get an idea when it might be there. One thing I've learned is patience (sort of) and delays occur and much of the time when you think it'll be bad news--it's good! It's hard but wait and we'll all be praying for you that it's nothing but good news.

Newly Crowned, waiting is SOOOO hard!

Hi Keri..

I know the feeling....Waiting is the absolute worst. It allows our minds to wander and usually not in the right direction. Hopefully, no news is good news. MY feeling is that bad news get told to us right away and good news, unfortunately, sometimes looses track of time.
Hang in there.. I am sure all was ok

Newly Crowned, waiting is SOOOO hard!

I skipped the cone as well and skipped straight to the hyster. It took 10 days for the pathology to come back. I was a wreck. The pathology was slightly worse than expected however, they had gotten everything and I did not need any further treatment. Try not to worry. I fyour results are back your doctor most likely would have called if something serious was wrong.

I'm waiting on paths too. My onc sends everything for 2 opinions, so he told me 10 days. Yes, it is the hardest part.
