Tomorrow Is The Day

Tomorrow afternoon I will be going to the OR once again (day surgery) to have LSO and DX Lap. I have been tossing the LSO idea around in my head and have made my mind up to have it taken. I do not want to have to go back to the OR down the road cause this dumb thing dies (if it's not dead already). With all the hot flashes I have been having over the last couple months, along with sweats, chills and insomnia... I bet this thing is no good anyways.

Waiting on my doc to call me so I can talk to him about this procedure and find out what type of adhesion barrier he plans on using. I'm hoping he uses the film barrier (heard from many sisters it's better than the gel). Will update later when I hear back from my doc cutie!

Amy,
Good luck tomorrow. You will be in my thoughts and ers. Just fyi, an ovary *dieing* does not mean you have to have it surgically removed. It just means its not functioning and you will probably experience menopausal symptoms and possibly go on hrt.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Am not nervous about this surgery at all. I have faith in my doc and am looking forward to this surgery being "THE" one that cures me.

Kim.. thanks for the FYI. I know that information :-) Ready to get this over with. I know my princess training and will be a good girl.

Amy,

Good Luck tomorrow, know that we will be with you in spirit.

I think you are making a wise decision on the LSO, I know some don't agree, but there are JUST too many of us having to return to surgery because of problems with ovaries. Especially since you are already having menopausal symptoms....you are probably right, doesn't sound like it's functioning to me...at least not properly.

We'll be thinking about you and keeping you in our prayers. Post as soon as you are feeling up to it and let us know how you are so we won't worry about you.

Lot's of and 's to send you on your journey.
