Hugs and Best wishes to AmyS-Surgery on 01/24

As soon as I ate, I was fine. Got home and had some toast, rested for 30 minutes and felt fine after that. I think I need to either have them schedule me first thing in the morning.. or give me something to knock me out (like versed) while I am waiting however long it is to be taken to the OR. Will be calling docs office this week to re-schedule. Just hope it all works out this time. Will be speaking to my docs nurse about this last experience and how I felt after I got home and ate a little something.

Been watching myself for either high or low blood sugar and suspect that because I wasn't able to eat yesterday that it got too low. Didnt have my kit there to test myself with. Testing cause type 2 diabetes runs in my family.

Amy I get like this when I have to fast for surgery so the minute I show up they hook me up to an IV of Gravol or any other anti-nausea meds........or I just throw up and throw up........a really good one they've given me is Dolasetron (sp?) it's been called the "Cadillac of anti-nauseants"......and I always ask to be the first case of the day when of luck sweetie 's!!!
