Please Help!

Hello Ladies!

I have a quick question for you all...Is there anyone out there that has had a non-functioning bladder since there surgery, I am talking at least 3 mos. post-op.??? (I know you are out there!!!) If so, did your bladder ever start working again and if it did...how long did it take. I have not passed one drop of urine since my operation and now I have to use a catheter 7 times a day! This is not the end of the world, but it isn't always a party either. I was just curious if I should hold on to hope that it may come back or just accept the fact that this is how I do things from now on. Thank you for any information that you can share with me. Have a wonderful weekend!

GO HOOSIERS!!!!

Please Help!

Hey Natasha -

I just you a PM to see how you were doing. I guess this post has answered my question.

Don't get frustrated just yet. You need to get your bladder tone back or keep what you have. One thing you don't want to do is overextend your bladder. It took me along time to understand the whole thing believe me. If your bladder does get extended it takes one to several weeks to get its tone back again. Cathing alot is a good thing.

You're right...it's not the end of world...there are definitely worse things that could happen.

Has your doc told you what could be causing this problem?

Take care and remember I'm here if ya need me -
