Fistula Recovery

Hi Louise,
I am so glad you are feeling better everyday. This afternoon I start cleaning out my system for tests tomorrow. If everything looks good I will have the cath out on Tuesday. I am not feeling well yesterday or today. I ran out of sleeping pills so did not rest well last night. I also woke up to bood in my bag today. I think I overdid it yesterday cleaning my kitchen. Today I am just resting and doing nothing. I hope I didn't do anything serious but I just couldn't stand my dirty kitchen another minute. Also I overheard my dh make a nasty comment to someone about the last time our house was clean and that hurt my feelings. Not that he meant for me to hear but I did. He has taken on a lot in the last coupe of months. Keep a good thought for me as I will for you.

Fistula Recovery

Good morning!

It is a beautifu day here in San Diego-did you guys see the Raiders get beat here yesterday? YEAH!!!

I am feeling okay. My belly is really sore today and I can't figure out why. I don't remember this soreness after the hyster (I probably should stop comparing the two, right?) My swelly belly looks just like a big butt-it is gross! I guess I shouldn't expect it to look good after being cut open twice in three months...My incision has stopped draining and looks like it is okay-I still worry about infection but I don't have any fever at all.

Terry is having her tests today-I'm sure the hole is closed and she will get the cath out tomorrow-YEAH!!!

I hope all of you are feeling better every day-you all deserve it! I think this summer we should have a reunion somewhere and celebrate our recovery from this-what do you think? There's enough of us it could be a whopper of a party!

Has anyone heard anything from Ariel? Please let me know-I am worried about her.

Well, my friend will be coming over later this morning so I'm going downstairs to check out the damage before she gets here. Have a great day-I'll check back in later!

Louise! Feeling better? LOL I am so happy for you!

My belly was sore after the hysterectomy. Don't compare it to your previous surgeries I am sure they are all different. I too will be cut open twice in 3 months making a grand total of 3 (had an ovary removed at 24).

This time next week my surgery will be finished. I am very encouraged after hearing how well you are doing almost 2 weeks later.

Take care and keep getting stronger.

Told ya so...

Hi (((LOUISE)))

Told ya so...told ya it would get better. I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better....BUT...(you know there is always a big BUT -- LOL), you need to still be taking it easy so as not to undo your surgery. Extra caution will still be needed for a while. Trust me I know as I have had 2 fistula (bladder) surgeries!!!

(((SBEAR))) many hugs to you my syster... ing that you have an uneventful surgery.

(((REDAPPLE))) also many hugs to you that the cath will be removed with no problems. Just remember to take it easy AFTER it is removed.

Well, enough of that...just wanted to send ya extra 's and say glad you are doing better.

Thanks for all the kind words. I am doing my best to stay positive and not over do anything. I am bored and am so tired of only thinking about pee and pain and cathetars..

My belly is still achey but I will wait and see how I feel tomorrow before I panic!

Have a good night!

Fistula Recovery

Louise, I am so glad to hear you are feeling better. Bet you thought this day would never come. I know I did plenty of times. But things get better with each day that goes by. Just be careful and don't over do. I still don't lift anything that's real heavy even yet. I am almost 2mo. since surgery. I get scared and want to be sure everything is healed good so nothing goes wrong.

I felt so good yesterday that I painted my kitchen. I tried that new tech. that you put the paint on the walls and then take a rag and wipe some of it off. It looks aged and really neat.

To all the other fistulas ladies, I am so sorry you all are going through this. I hope better days are ahead and real soon.

Better get my work done because I have plans to take off early and go to the movies.

Take care. Kim
