5 weeks post adhesion removal and pain returning....now foot surgery thursday

Hi Ladies, I hope this finds you all well as can be expected. I believe I once again have had a failed adhesion removal, the pain is starting to return , went to the doctor today for my foot surgery pre op and when he pushed on my tummy I just about went thru the ceiling, same pain, same place. He said it shouldn't be near this sore after 5 weeks and that maybe without the barrier neing used then they are reforming. I have an appointment with the gyn on Feb. 10th so I will be discussing what to do next, I do know that any more surgery will have to wait until the summer, I need time to heal from all this first.
So, onward and upward I guess.....we will see what happens...

Carmel
P.S. anyone had foot surgery before? How was it?

You poor thing...

((((CARMEL))))

Remember me? December 2001 we were a day apart in having our surgeries. And you've had more since then. Aww hun, I feel terrible that you are still having problems. All I can do is offer you many, many 's and ers that you get off this road and SOON!!! Can't say that I am off, but traveling off it at a snails pace. I too have a return of the dreaded ADHESION MONSTER, but still with no insurance, I have to deal with it until I can get it.

As for foot surgery, I had surgery on my baby toe back in 1990, and it was a breeze. Hopefully yours will be too.

So again ((((CARMEL)))) many, many 's and remember, we are always here for you to give ya support.

Carmel, I'm hoping and praying that what you felt was still healing pain and not adhesions reforming.......we'll all make a prayer to the adhesion gods for you and keep our fingers crossed!!! I know I"ve been praying to them since I had the two really bad attacks (of who knows what)!!

I"ve never had my foot operated on but did have some knee surgery and I can tell you, compared to pelvic surgery of any kind it was a walk in the park AND I got to keep my undies on in the operating room

hang in there sweetie and hope for the best, I know I am

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the encouraging words. I know that I am hoping and praying that this may be just healing pains still, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are reforming since the doctor didn't use the barrier on me.
As for the foot surgery, I'm sure it will be nothing compared to the other things that I have had done. They are going to go in and grind off 2 of my metatarsal bones and line them back up, the worse part is that for the first 3 days I have to stay laying down with my foot above my heart then I am not allowed to put any weight at all on it for 2 weeks.
Take care and sending s

I'm sorry that you are still hurting. I will say a er that it is still healing pain. I had a lap in early November and the doctor didn't even do much but look around and I was sore for quite some time afterwards. It was a good 6 weeks before my bruising even cleared up.

Best wishes on your foot surgery.

same pain here

Hi Carmel, I am having the same kind of pain as you are, I had a TAH/BSO in September and my pain is coming back , My doctor seems to think it is my bowels , he thinks since I get constipated that it could be pressing down on my vaginal cuff. I am not so sure of that. I still hurt when i am not constipated. Do you think I should bring this to his attention?
Hope this finds you feeling better .
Big 's to you.
Love,
Misty
